Product Fine / Customer Service Lacking |

I've been buying this product for years & recently placed an order for 3 bottles. Right after I got the order, we unexpectedly suffered the devastating loss of our dog who takes this product. The bottles were still sealed. When I called customer service to see if they could help, I was told the policy was no returns, without exception. I know we're in a COVID-19 pandemic, but CHI had no problem with me receiving 3 bottles that I had to wipe down with disinfectant before using and I felt that an exception could have been made. Instead, I will have to throw away nearly $80 worth of product since I can't find anyone else to gift it to. That's such a disappointing waste. FYI, chewy.com fully refunded the cost of prescription food I'd just received for my dog, told me to donate it to a shelter & sent me a sympathy card and flowers as well. That's a fine example of customer service, which was especially appreciated at a very difficult time.
