Dopamine is considered one of the basic neurotransmitters of the nervous system. It is also found in many foods. Its main function as a hormone is to inhibit the release of prolactin from the anterior lobe of the pituitary. It is known to assist three main Dopamine neurotransmitter systems: The extrapyramidal system, which is involved with coordination and integration of fine muscular movement such as picking up small objects; the mesollimbic system, which is involved with control of memory and emotion, and the hypothalamicpituitary axis, which is involved with such endocrine-related activity as the release of prolactin which induces lactation in mammals. This formulation contains several dilutions of dopamine which may temporarily relieve symptoms such as anxiety, headache, and poor memory.
