Cautions: Although high dose iodine/iodide (25 mg or more per day) is well tolerated by most people, some people with iodine sensitivity/allergy, thyroid autoimmune disease, goiter, iodine induced thyroid hypofunction, iodism (metallic taste in the mouth, acne, headache, sneezing, sinus headaches and a sense of fever) and thyroid cancer will react unfavorably. If any of these reactions occur, iodine should be withdrawn or reduced until a reason for the reaction can be determined. The use of high dose iodine/iodide therapy should not be undertaken without training or consulting “Iodine, Why You Need It, Why You Can’t Live Without It”, by David Brownstein, M.D.

Super KI contains 12.5 mg of iodine per capsule from 18.5 mg of potassium iodide.
